The Evolution of the Project Life-Cycle

The project life-cycle is a constant evolution at Insario. Every project provides opportunity for growth and improvement; every challenge provides opportunity to develop new solutions. And each time we exit another project we look at our project life-cycle and determine if we can make it even better. Many years, and hundreds of projects later, we've established a baseline to our life-cycle that's stood the test of projects large and small, and short and long-term, that represents the basis for everything we do.

Every project we accept has three basic requirements that are a given:

  • Be completed on time
  • Be completed on budget
  • Exceed the client's expectations
Our project life-cycle is designed to ensure these basic requirements will always be met. Additionally every client brings their project-specific requirements to the table: how the application will work, what it will look like, integration points, etc. These are the primary outcomes of our Analysis Phase and the basis for the specific tasks that will be performed in the development phase of our life-cycle.

An iterative build approach defines our Development Phase. Taking logical groupings of requirements and accomplishing short milestones ensures a consistent completion of functionality, while ensuring no work is done later that has fallen out of touch with development that occured earlier in the process.

Testing, bug and features reporting, and documentation are the primary tasks in the completion of a project. Ensuring issues are isolated early, defined and assessed, and scoped appropriately maintains project dates and ensure timely delivery of project assets.
